The Journey that begin in 2010 with a small child just being stubborn to join a big school, when did his 14 year of journey ended he never realized. I still remember those days during primary classes the fun we used to have, bunking assembly, running towards the ground during breaks and lot. My 14 years in DAV, it never felt like a school it felt like a family. In these journey I have achieved a lot, from being class captain to being the school sports captain. I was never the brilliant child who would go top the class every time, I was a average student. I don't really liked to go home and study maybe a little bit due to scolding of my mom. DAV during my primary classes taught us Calligraphy, Abacus and lot more creative stuff or I may say learning stuff. I don't believe their were a lot school that provided such activities. We did also had pottery classes used to create different unknown mysterious creature using mud and clay. During Kindergarten times as soon as we reached school we used to go to backyard and play the swing. Everyone just used to rush toward the swing and sometimes fight for it. It was just before classes started but during lunch break, snacks as well as home time. When I was in grade 2, we used to have assembly after 2nd period and just before the assembly we used to have our Hindi Language Classes. Who really wants to go to assembly stand for 20 mins or so and hear different teachers complaining about students who are never going to change and then sing the prayers. I am sure everyone standing their just felt when is it going to get over. Me and my some friends what we used to do was after the Hindi Class we used to hide below the Desk, such that if anyone from corridor sneaks into class feels that everyone have gone for assembly. We did it almost every time and it was a different kind off fun doing those stuff.
We used to get tie once we reached Lower Secondary ( i.e. 5th class ) everyone used to be excited for it. I still remember after our 4th grade final examination during vacation we were taken to see a match at that time some of my friend had already bought the new set of dress with new shirt and tie. It was about flexing those new garments in front of friend. After reaching grade 5, some old friends left the school, some selected different classes. As we grow up friend circle changes, new friends come old goes it's just a cycle that repeats itself every time. In grade 5 one of the interesting thing was being part of FOZ ( Friends of Zoo ) it sounds stupid now but it was far more interesting that time. If we became a part of FOZ we were allowed to go to Zoo for free, we had different programs within it that involved feeding tiger, night out with animals. More of Educational Tour we used to take it as a Picnic. Our school also used to have a special award named Character Tree, It was given to the student who were most sincere in the class and I would say teachers favorite. I have received it probably 2-3 time during my time in the School but never really understood what was I supposed to do with these awards. Their are a lot of such small - small incidents I still remember that happened. As we pass out from the school we never realize when those moments become our favorite memories. The school have given me everything, the best school trip, the best achievements and the small fame within juniors. These stuff never comes out in life in paper as a achievement, but standing out among those 100s of student no one understand that feeling except that guy itself. During grade 5, I used to see my friends playing cricket after the school and always dreamed of it. I had never played with a season ball but had a dream to play with it. In grade 7, I did get an opportunity and believe me that was the best thing that had ever happened to me in my whole school life. It changed what I am within 5 years. These is a whole new story I would like to cover in a different blog. The things I have talked about is not even 10% of different wonderful stories I have of my school life, about my crushes, my friends, my enemy friends, stranger friends, teachers, our principal and a lot more.
Thanks for reading till here, I would have liked to cover more of my journey in the school in these blog itself but I believe I would like to divide it into small stories and present in different blog.
